I have a wonderful friend, Sharyn, who has just written a book about her life story. It's an incredible story of survival - she was one of the "Forgotten Australians".
Having read her book I felt moved to write this song about my feelings; how I felt about Sharyn's triumph, and the strong woman she has become.
Sharyn rang me in tears this morning (I know she won't mind me telling you!), but thankfully they were tears of happiness. She loves my song, and so I hope you do as well.
