Lisa is joining the Dawn Princess

For those savy cruisers out there, Lisa is due to join the Dawn Princess on the 30th August. She will be joining you in Apia and travelling to the beautiful isle of New Zealand. Don't forget to get in early to see her shows and make sure you pick up a copy of her wonderful CD's.

Strangely Beautiful reaches selling high of over 1500 copies

Lisa has been recording since 2002. Her first album "Almost Live" has sold over 3000 copies since it's release in 2004. This album continues to sell well. Her second album "Strangely Beautiful" has just had it's fourth run printed which means that she has sold over 1500 copies since it's release in 2007 and "One Moment In Time", released in 2008 continues its journey, elling over 1000 copies. All of Lisa's albums are available on Itunes globally and of course at her shows.

"Rediscovered" due for release soon!!!

Lisa is currently in the studio recording her 6th Album "Rediscovered". It has taken her a little longer than planned to organise time in the studio but she is there. She put down 6 songs yesterday and hopefully today it will be another 6. With a little bit of luck she will only need three days and it will be done. Then it will be off to have the photos and styling done for the album art.
We will keep you posted as to the release date.

"We're Alright" receives an Honorable Mention Award

Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest encouraging the art and discipline of songwriting. Their primary focus is to find great songwriters while helping them network with professionals in the music industry. For over ten years, Song of the Year has continued to be a leader in offering songwriters great opportunities through the contest and by networking the top writers with music insiders. Songwriter's submissions are judged by a panel of music professionals. The preliminary-judging staff consists of individuals who have showed leadership in music related fields as well as notable songwriters.

Lisa submitted "We're Alright" to the Song of the Year competition held in March - May 2010. She has just been notified that she has received an Honorable Mention at these awards. If Song of the Year receives a lot of positive responses from the judges about a particular song, then an Honorable Mention placement is given. Only the top writers receive this placement.

Lisa is very proud of this achievement and would like to thank the amazingly talented Dieter Kleemann who played guitar on this track.

Lisa's Original Songs get global airplay

Thanks to Jango.com and Carter Edwards at 2SM, Lisa's song "The Inconvenient Child" and others are getting radio airplay.

Carter Edwards is a Sydney based radio personality who hosts a show on Sunday night on 2SM. He not only played "The Inconvenient Child" but he also interviewed the girl herself. It was a great opportunity for Lisa and Carter to discuss the inspiration for the song and have a chat about the book that started it all.

Jango.com is an online Internet radio station that has over 28000 listeners worldwide. Lisa's original songs, including "The Inconvenient Child" have been getting airplay on this site with some fantastic responses. She is gathering fans from all over the world like Canada, Trinidad, US, UK, Malaysia and of course Australia. Whilst the song "The Inconvenient Child" is not available for sale yet, there is the book written by Sharyn Killens and Lindsay Lewis. For more information about the book, please take the time to go to http://www.theinconvenientchild.com/

You won't regret the time spent.
